衛福部（Ministry of Health and Welfare）所推出的疾管家系統會定期更新（regular update）新型冠狀病毒病相關資訊。
所謂「新型冠狀病毒病」，英文簡稱為：“COVID-19”。其中“CO”代表冠狀（Corona）、“VI”代表病毒（Virus），而“D”代表疾病（Disease）。

校正回歸：backlog [ˈbækˌlɔɡ] 或 retrospective [ˌrɛtrǝˈspɛktɪv] adjustment。
其中“log”有（航海、飛行、檢修等）記錄之意，“backlog”指後來登入的資料，演變成近期最夯的新詞「校正回歸」。
例句說明1：Taiwan to consider no longer announcing COVID backlog numbers separately.（台灣將考慮不在單獨宣布新冠病毒校正回歸個案數。）
從6/7起，「校正回歸」這四個字將隱退江湖，統一歸類於「新增病例」（new case）中。
但其實這字本來是用在職場上，指「未完成的工作」（an accumulation of uncompleted work or matters needing to be dealt with）。
例句說明 2：I've got a huge backlog of work to do.（我積了一堆工作還沒做。）
避免群聚感染：avoid cluster [ˈklʌstɚ] infection of COVID-19。
最近幾週，傳統市場群聚嚴重，今日正式啟動人流管制（step up crowd control for marketgoers）。
例句說明 1：Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs on Sunday (June 6) announced five measures to tighten crowd control at traditional and night markets amid the COVID-19 surge, including a one-hour time limit on shopping, CNA reported.
（中央通訊報指出，台灣經濟部於6月6日宣布五項措施，加強傳統市場和夜市人流管制，其中包括：限一小時採買。）
例句說明 2：Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) has announced the policy regarding cancellation of outdoor gatherings of 500+ people and indoor gatherings of 100+ people.
（中央流行疫情指揮中心宣布建議停辦室內100人以上或室外500人以上集會活動。）
普篩：widespread coronavirus testing 或 community-wide screening/testing。
也就是所謂的「PCR /核酸檢測（Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction，簡稱RT-PCR）」，檢驗檢體中是否含有病毒的遺傳物質，需要2-4小時以上才知其結果，但準確率較高。
快篩：rapid testing。
其目的是快速大量篩檢出疑似陽性個案（positive case），約15分鐘可知結果。可以分為三種：「快速分子檢測」（rapid molecular）、「抗原」（antigen [ˈæntǝdʒǝn]）快篩、「抗體」（antibody）快篩。
